Dana Marshall - Public Relations Director
Dana began her radio journey in Killington, Vermont, serving as Morning host, Promotion Director and Music Director.
The year 2000 brought her to WXRV, 92.5 The River, where her voice bacame the Sound of the Station, as she hosted numerous on-air slots, including Morning Drive, mid-day, and the popular Acoustic After Hours.
During her 7 years at The River, Dana created and produced the Newburyport Riverfront Festival , which has featured top names in entertainment, garnering crowds upwards of 10,000. Many partnerships were forged with Dana's experience, including River Rising Star Series.
In 2007 , Dana joined WBOS, Boston as Music/Program Director, where she continued to create promotional partnerships with Jimmy Fund, Museum of Science, Boston Symphony Orchestra, and Farm Aid.
In addition, Dana booked and produced the WBOS Earthfest at the DCR Hatch Shell each spring. This event is an ecological extravaganza; featuring music, exhibits, and education through sponsor involvement and station promotion. Earthfest consistently drew crowds of 100,000 plus, with headliners such as Guster, KT Tunstall, and Cake. Dana is a music lover, a consumate public speaker/host, and TV spokesperson. Her experience as Program Director has provided her with skills outside of music; she has overseen marketing and branding campaigns, creating and producing events with clients and sponsors.
